For International Students who just arrived in Brunei Darussalam, International Students Guide (settling)

  • UTB works towards ensuring international student academic success and looking after their wellbeing.
  • All international students will have communication access to
    • (i) EXCO International Affairs (inclusive of local students and current international students) upon arrival,
    • (ii) Assistant Registrar Academic, Registrar Office
    • (iii) Student Welfare Officer (focal) for any discipline, health and welfare matters
    • (iv) IPRO Facilitator,
    • (v) academic lecturers and
    • (vi) all Student Affairs Officer; throughout their years of study in the university.
  • Upon Arrival : EXCO International Affairs will greet you at the airport and also at your accommodation.

      • Public Transportation via The Core Residential College (Berakas A)
      • Access to Shops – EXCO International Affairs and also your Seniors will assist and guide you on the available shops close to Uni.
  • Discipline, Health and Welfare
    • Your Student Welfare Officer will be your focal point for any matters pertaining the above.
    • You will be invited to join a Whatsapp group for instant communication and updates. Any personal issues can be privately discussed.
    • If you fall ill, please ensure to bring your Scholarship Letter which states the clause that all medical expenses will be borne by His Majesty's Government throughout the duration of their studies to the nearest hospital / clinic.
    • All matters will be recorded using the provided form.
  • Leaving the State
    • All international students are required to fill in a form and submit to Dean of Student Affairs one week before leaving.
    • Attach a copy of flight ticket.
