The Centre for Transport Research strives to become a highly-rated centre in transport research by 2018, and subsequently a Centre of Excellence by 2021.
Missions
The Centre for Transport Research is committed to improve our transport system by:
conducting interdisciplinary research to develop, support and complement the relevant national transport plans and strategic directions
collaborating with fellow national and international researchers for knowledge sharing and advancement
acting as a transport and road safety resource and training centre
The centre has developed 3 strategic focus areas by benchmarking against other Centres of Excellence and aligning with UTB and BNRSC strategic plans.
