Digital learning is a type of learning that makes use of new digital resources to allow users to learn in a variety of ways, including face-to-face, asynchronous or synchronous distance learning, and blended. A digital learning platform is a piece of software that is supposed to help these users to study 2 more effectively, for instance Learning Management Systems and Virtual Classroom Software. The obstacles of using various types of digital learning tools in higher education are used in this study that leads to the development of a one-stop digital learning platform. The importance of security to the integrated standardized digital learning platform will also be explored in this paper, as well as how a blockchain-based framework will help to further secure the platform. The global world has changed into an online learning environment. There are numerous digital learning tools available to aid individuals in continuing their education. Despite this fact, however, when creating these systems, the accessibility of course materials was prioritized over security concerns.

The accessibility of course materials was placed over security considerations when developing digital learning tools. Through this research, the results of using a blockchain-based framework in a digital learning platform will be revealed. Users of the platform will be protected from security breaches as a result of this research, as the data in blockchains makes tampering practically difficult. In implementing blockchain into digital learning. This research will benefit both external and internal users of the platform, as well as future studies examining the blockchain framework's additional capabilities in various platforms. Moreover, with the implementation of blockchain technology, data will be encrypted, making it hard for unauthorized people to access the digital platform thus the privacy of user and the confidentiality of data is preserved.

This book contains of 9 chapters and divide become three parts that each contributes to respective SDGs:

Part I – Security Issues [SDG 16]

Part II – Technology Enhancement [SDG 9]

Part III - Readiness and Impact [SDG 11]

Blockchain-Based Tracking System

Under Review: Q1 Scopus Journal

This study is to design and implement online blockchain based and real-time parcel monitoring and tracking system for cross border runner in time and post of Pandemic covid-19 for the customer via an online platform. A survey and UAT was conducted. This research is to evaluate the most important tracking system in Brunei, to propose the framework and to examine the effectively real time parcel monitoring and tracking system. The finding was concluded by proposing a blockchain based tracking system. The result and UAT shows positive feedback, the use, and the features of the blockchain based Tracking system.

Aquaculture with RAS

Aquaculture is one of the emerging industries capable of closing the demand and supply gap for aquatic products. Aquaculture also comes in various types and sizes, ranging from freshwater to marine waters, inland, marine culture operations, etc. The Department of Fisheries (DoF) Brunei Darussalam introduced several initiatives to boost the output of aquaculture. With the initiative and help from DoF and assistance from Hiseaton Fisheries, this project aims to implement an IoT-based solution to monitor water quality to culture marine species in particular Sea Bass. Water quality is one determining factor that determines the growth rate and health of aquatic creatures. The proposed system implements RAS Technology together with IoT in the rearing of Sea Bass by monitoring the water parameters, automate the feeding schedule and regulate the water quality. This project actually expanded from Smart Fish System that won 1st in CIPTA 2020.  Internally collaborate with CIE and FYP student from FoE.  Externally collaborate with Department of Fisheries (DoF) and Hiseaton.  Here, DoF with the fish and prawn knowledge and Hiseaton with the fishes.

Innovative Business Process Reengineering Adoption: Frame-work of Big Data Sentiment, Improving Customer’s Service Level Agreement

Accepted: Q1 Scopus Journal

Social media has evolved into and is now regarded as the most valuable source of data for trend analysis and innovative business process reengineering preference. Data made accessible through social media can be utilized for a variety of purposes, such as by an entrepreneur who wants to learn more about the market they intend to enter and uncover their consumers' requirements and wants before launching their new products or services. The sentiment analysis and text mining of telecommunication businesses via social media posts and comments will be the subject of this study. A proposed framework will be utilized as a guideline, and it will be tested for sentiment analysis. Lexicon-based sentiment categorization is used as a model training dataset for Supervised Machine Learning Support Vector Machine. The result is very promising. The accuracy and the quantity of true sentiments it can detect are compared. This results that signifies the usefulness of text mining and sentiment analysis on social media data while the use of machine learning classifiers for predicting the sentiment orientation provide a useful tool for the operations department, marketing department. The availability of large amount of data available in this digitally active society can be used to do so much advantage for sectors like the telecommunication industry. These companies can take two steps ahead of their strategy and develop a more cohesive company that can make customers happier and mitigate problems easily with the use of text mining and sentiment analysis for further adopting innovative business process reengineering for service improvements within telcos industry.

  • Text Mining and Cleaning Stage

Here within this research, the majority of telecommunication providers have already incorporated social media platforms and applications and are using social media to keep customers up to date on what is happening on their end. This stage will focus on data collection from social media that is the number one platform as well as platforms that are utilized by telecommunication firms, hence Instagram will be used for this part of the data analysis.

Figure 3. shows the data collection and cleaning stage. The extraction of comments and posts are performed manually and is only extracted according to a certain number of comments from the posts. When texts are extracted and crawledthe texts are expected to be noisy and in random sentence and symbols format, therefore cleaning the data is required by usingmanual selection to remove posts that retrieve empty comments, duplicated comments, and only will only include languages in English and Malay.
