  • As a public university, UTB is governed by the following regulation to ensure compliance, and to uphold the values of transparency and accountability in all aspects of its operations:
  • Additionally, the following guidelines aim to support the University’s initiatives to increase awareness and promote sustainable development growth activities throughout UTB procurement process:
    • All university’s procurement request will follow our standard procurement rules and guidelines that need to go through the assessment and evaluation of the product or services to be purchased.
    • Consider products that are value for money and meeting specifications required by the users. The specifications may include recyclable or biodegradable, energy saving consumption and reduce carbon emissions and which meet the environmental standards.
    • Consider how products are going to be written-off/disposed at the end of their life time through our national standard write-off process involving other relevant agencies such as Environmental Department and etc.
    • Any vendors that were registered under the “Sdn. Bhd.” categories that were awarded to supply products or services to University must fulfil the validity of COTC (Certificate Of Tax Compliance) as part of Corporate Social Responsibility.
    • All vendors participating in the university procurements should comply with all the terms and conditions of the university.
    • Collaborate/Working with relevant agencies and industries and other HEI to support the sustainable development areas.

    • Align investments with the university's values and mission by prioritising companies and organisations that have a positive environmental and social impact.
    • Contribute to a more sustainable future by supporting investments in renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure, and other environmentally beneficial projects.
    • Consider environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors in investment decision-making.
    • Engage with companies and organisations in the investment portfolio to encourage them to adopt sustainable business practices.
