The aim of the Master of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering programmes is to increase the students’ understanding and capabilities in developing integrated power systems and communications systems. By enhancing the knowledge and understanding of electrical and electronic engineering, as well as leadership and inter-personal skills, the programme helps prepare the students to work in the public and private sectors, and establishes a solid foundation to pursue further studies for a career in research and development in the field of electrical and electronic engineering.
The programme also aims to provide continuing professional development opportunities related to the electrical and electronic engineering. Hence, the programme can be delivered through a two-year part-time basis, in addition to the one-year full-time programme.
Applicants for admission to MSc (by coursework) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering must satisfy the following minimum general and programme-specific entry requirements:

Mature applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related discipline, recognised by the Senate of UTB, at least 3 years of relevant working experience, pass an interview and/or entry test, and fulfill the same English language proficiency criteria above.
Candidates with other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
The MSc (by Coursework) Electrical and Electronic Engineering programme is offered on a full-time basis over one year, or part-time basis over two years. For modules in the part-time arrangement, classes will only take place on up to two days a week, in which the students will join full-time students on the modules.
