Visa and Student Pass procedures for International Students

 

  1. UTB offer letter sends to student to confirm acceptance/admission.
  2. UTB Registrar’s Office writes a letter to Immigration for Approval of Student Visa.
  3. UTB Registrar’s Office receives Immigration Reply Letter of Approval of Student Visa with listed name(s) of students.
  4. UTB Registrar’s Office sends a copy of the Immigration Reply Letter of Approval of Student Visa with listed name(s) of students to respective students via email.
  5. Student must show the Immigration Reply Letter of Approval of Student Visa with listed name(s) of students as they reach the Brunei International Airport Immigration Officer to obtain a Single Entry Visa (BND20).
  1. As student settles in UTB, the University will process for (i) Student Pass, (ii) Multiple Entry Visa, and (iii) Brunei Identity Card with the assistance of UTB Registrar’s Office and UTB Student Welfare Officer within two (2) weeks from their date of arrival in Brunei Darussalam.
  1. Prior to further Immigration processes above, students must fill in
    1. Student Pass Form No.10,
    2. Visa Form (exception Malaysian & Singapore Nationals), and
    3. Brunei Identity Card Green Form

    and each student will be provided with UTB official letter(s) for (i) and (ii).

  1. Student needs to provide a photocopy of:
    1. Passport detail page,
    2. Single Entry Visa stamp in the passport,
    3. UTB Offer Letter of Acceptance/Admission,
    4. Immigration Reply Letter of Approval of Student Visa containing the student’s name, and
    5. BND50 for Multiple Entry Visa.

 

  1. UTB offer letter sends to student to confirm acceptance/admission.
  2. Student must show the UTB Offer Letter as they reach the Brunei International Airport Immigration Officer to obtain a VOA (Visa On Arrival).
  3. As student settles in UTB, the University will process for
    1. Student Pass,
    2. Multiple Entry Visa (if applicable), and
    3. Brunei Identity Card

with the assistance of UTB Registrar’s Office and UTB Student Welfare Officer within 2 weeks or 30 days.

 

  1. Prior to further Immigration processes above, prepare these documents:
  • Student Pass Form No.10,
  • Visa Form (exception Malaysian & Singapore Nationals),
  • Brunei Identity Card Green Form,
  • A signed guarantor Identity Card Copy of Bruneian Dean/Deputy Dean/Programme Leader/Director, and
  • UTB official letter(s) for (i) and (ii).

 

  1. Student needs to provide a photocopy of:
  • Passport detail page,
  • First Entry Visa stamp in the passport,
  • UTB Offer Letter of Acceptance/Admission, and
  • BND50 for Multiple Entry Visa (if applicable).

 

  1. UTB offer letter sends to student to confirm acceptance/admission.
  2. Student to pay BND1,500* for first Visa Application deposit and UTB Registrar’s Office to prepare UTB official letter. Immigration will keep student’s passport for few days.
  3. After the Visa Application is approved, the next process will be for 
    1. Student Pass,
    2. Multiple Entry Visa (if applicable), and
    3. Brunei Identity Card

with the assistance of UTB Registrar’s Office and UTB Student Welfare Officer

  1. Student will prepare these documents:
    1. Student Pass Form No.10,
    2. Visa Form (exception Malaysian & Singapore Nationals), and
    3. Brunei Identity Card Green Form, and

    and UTB Registrar’s Office will prepare UTB official letter(s) for (i) and (ii).

  1. Student needs to provide a photocopy of:
    1. Passport detail page,
    2. First Entry Visa stamp in the passport,
    3. UTB Offer Letter of Acceptance/Admission, and
    4. BND50 for Multiple Entry Visa (if applicable).

N.B.

*will be reimbursed upon completion of study and cancellation of Student Pass and Visa
