A group of 28 people, consisting of teachers and Year-11 students from Masin's secondary school, visited the Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) with the aim of gaining a deeper understanding of opportunities at the Faculty of Engineering. The group was led by Cikgu Hajah Sarinah and welcomed by the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Pg Dr. Seri Rahayu binti Pg Ya’akub, who is also a representative of the Faculty of Engineering, UTB.

The program began with the recitation of the Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by an explanation of the structure of the Faculty of Engineering, Pg Dr. Seri Rahayu. The group was also given the opportunity to visit the laboratory, classroom and library. Besides, they have a chance to see the UTB Eco Marathon Room, where they can take a closer look at the equipment used in the project

These visits provide a valuable opportunity for students to refine their knowledge of the Engineering field offered by UTB, as well as open up their insights into future careers in this field. By experiencing the university environment and looking at the facilities and projects under way there, students may be able to make better decisions about the educational and career paths they are interested in.

This is a good step in helping students make more informed decisions about their future direction and how they can contribute in the field of Engineering in the country.
