The ‘Udacity Kick-off Training – Artificial Intelligence (A.I) and Machine Learning (M.L) Courses’ virtual launching was held this morning through Microsoft Teams platform. The event was organised in collaboration with Shell Deepwater Borneo Ltd (Shell), Brunei Shell Petroleum Sendirian Berhad (BSP), Udacity and Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB).
The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by Welcoming Remarks by Yang Mulia Mr Dougal Grant, the Managing Director of Shell Deepwater Borneo Ltd. The event then proceeded with the introduction of courses by Yang Mulia Ms Veerle Van Der Meulen, Enterprise Customer Success Manager from Udacity. Course demonstration session was also shared to the audience at the event.
The event ended with a closing remark by Yang Mulia Hajah Sofiah Haji Umar, Digitalisation Manager of BSP.
UTB have previously signed a Memorandum of Undertanding (MOU) between Shell and BSP on Artificial Intelligence: Gift to The Nation on 3 December 2020. Hence this training is part of the donation from Shell and BSP for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (A.I.M.L) lab.
