An interactive dialogue session by Yang Mulia Professor Dr. Hjh Zohrah binti Hj Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB with UTB’s academic staff was held at the University’s Lecture Theatre 2, Library Complex.

In the session, the Vice-Chancellor highlighted UTB’s milestones in 2020 and 2021. She thanked and congratulated all staff for their contributions to the university’s achievements particularly with UTB being ranked at 350th in the QS World University Rankings; 128th in the QS Asia University Rankings and UTB’s Petroleum Engineering being ranked at Top 150 in the QS World University Rankings by Subject.

Other achievements being highlighted includes implementing blended learning amid COVID-19, research projects with local organisations and international universities, establishment of Huawei Academy at University’s campus, and establishing partnerships with numerous stakeholders through Memorandum of Understanding and Memorandum of Agreement. The Vice-Chancellor was also delighted to announce the major changes that have been made by the University, such as the reduction of undergraduate degree programmes from four to three years and the five new programmes to be commenced this year.

The session also focused on the way forward of achieving the University’s vision and its Strategic Focus Areas. The dialogue then concluded with a question and answer session.
