Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) has achieved a remarkable feat by securing the second position in the Innovation Track at the prestigious Huawei ICT Competition Final 2023-2024 APAC Final. This highly anticipated event took place at the Nusantara Hall, ASEAN Headquarters, and Fairmont Hotel in Jakarta.
Co-organised by the ASEAN Foundation and Huawei, the competition provided a platform for UTB’s team, CIE, to showcase their innovative project titled ‘Peatland Forest Fire Monitoring Alert System.’ The team comprised Md Daniel Hj Abdullah, Siti Rasyidah Hj Ismail, and Md Musyaffa Abdul Aziz, all diligent Master of Science by Research students, accompanied by Dr. Wida Susanty Hj Suhaili, an Instructor from the UTB-Huawei ICT Academy.
