> UTB STUDENTS LEFT FOR EXPERIENCEPLUS IN MALAYSIA AND EDUCATIONAL STUDY TRIP IN THAILAND

Three students from UTB School of Business (UTBSB), Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) left for Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) for a 6-month internship under the UTB ExperiencePLUS programme.

The third year UTBSB students include Sim Ru Yuen who will be doing her internship at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, UPM; Siti Nur Syuhaidah binti Haji Ahmad Sohaimi and Faridah Basyirah binti Haji Mohd Yussof will attach to the Halal Products Research Institute, UPM.

Whilst 13 Year 3 students from BSc (Hons) in Architecture, UTB and two lecturers, Yang Mulia Dr Zulkefle Ismail, Assistant Professor and Architecture Programme Leader, and Yang Mulia Dr Rozia binti Haji Adenan, Assistant Professor, left for an eight-day educational study trip to Bangkok, Thailand. 

The educational study trip supports the final year design project of the students by offering them opportunities to travel and experience new cities. Good exposure to regional/international architecture landscapes/buildings inspires creativity and nurtures an understanding of architecture. The group will be visiting Phranakorn Rajabhat University and Chulalongkorn University, that Chulalongkorn University is ranked first in Architecture among the universities in Thailand.

Apart from visiting the two universities, the team will also tour architectural sites and buildings, which will benefit the team in terms of achieving the learning outcomes of the module, such as understanding architectural building form and spaces, and the design of closed environment buildings accommodating a specific purpose for multiple groups of users.

Present to bid farewell were Dean of UTB School of Business, Dr Fadzliwati Mohiddin and Dean of School of Design, Professor Yulfian Aminanda along with the Assistant Registrars.
