Nine UTB students of Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Communication led by Dr. Hajah Mas Ayu Kartika Dewi binti Haji Mumin, Assistant Professor of the Centre for Communication, Teaching, and Learning (CCTL), paid an educational visit to the Information Department, Prime Minister’s Office.
The visit commenced with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by a Welcoming Remark by Yang Mulia Dayang Noriah binti Haji Abd Hamid, Head of Corporate Relations Unit.
The visit proceeded with an introduction to the Information Department and a briefing on the operation of the Pelita Brunei delivered by Yang Mulia Awang Haji Fathi Foad bin Dato Seri Setia Haji Abu Bakar, Senior Information Officer and Head of Pelita Brunei Division.
The visit continued with question-and-answer sessions as well as tours to three departments: the Pelita Brunei Section, the Photography Unit, and the Lentera Makmur Gallery guided by Yang Mulia Dayang Siti Bismi Nuruliman binti Haji Awang Emzah, Acting Director of Information and Yang Mulia Dayang Sastra Sarini binti Haji Julaini, Acting Deputy Director of Information along with their team.
The educational visit complemented students’ learning in the ‘LC2312 Media Writing’ module and exposed students to Pelita Brunei's procedures and work process.
