Today marked the final day of UTB-STE Connect 2023 conferences held at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Berakas. The day witnessed the successful completion of various parallel sessions and workshops, culminating in a closing ceremony hosted by each of the conferences.

The 9th Brunei International Conference on Engineering and Technology (BICET 2023) was held at the Muzakarah Hall, Sepakat Room 2 and 3 in ICC. The conference commenced with BICET Parallel sessions followed by a keynote lecture 3 by Professor Dr. Aniruddha Bhalchandra Pandir, Institute of Chemical Technology Environmental Management on ‘Era of Sustainability’. The conference then continued with BICET Parallel sessions. Keynote lecture 4 featured Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Shahrel Azmin Sundi @ Suandi, Universiti Sains Malaysia on ‘Identity of Interest (IoI) Searching in Public via Multi-Modal Face
Images’, followed by another BICET Parallel sessions. In total, there were 98
of papers presented for the three days altogether.

Simultaneously, more papers were presented for the 6th International Conference on Applied Computational Intelligence in Information Systems (ACIIS 2023) and Professor Dr. Gyu Myoung Lee, School of Computing and Mathematical Science, from Liverpool John Moores University, United Kingdom, as a Keynote Speaker, entitled Towards AI powered Trustworthy and Decentralized Internet. AUN-SEED – JICA, sponsored two presenters, Japan ASEAN Science, Technology and Innovation Platform and ASEAN Engineering Journal, respectively, gave their introductions. Altogether, 39 of papers havebeen presented.

The International Conference on Business, Management, and Information Systems (ICBMIS) 2023 resumed with several parallel session and workshop held in Sejati Room 3 and 4. Two parallel sessions, focused on Economics, was chaired by Dr Saiful Islam with three paper presentations and on Information Systems was chaired by Dr Elango Natarajan concurrently.

Additionally, there was a workshop, conducting open and reproducible metaanalyses using the 'metafor' R package, facilitated by Dr. Seyed M Buhari, which provided the attendees with practical insights. Meanwhile, another parallel session, centered on Management, was held and chaired by Professor Dr Kamariah Ismail, Professor of UTB School of Business. After the break, two more parallel sessions were conducted, with Dr Fahmi Ibrahim and Mr Mohamad Zawawi bin Bahari, chaired each session.t. There were 37 papers presented for the three days altogether.

The International Conference on Agrotechnology, Beverage, and Food (ICABF 2023) resumed with Dr Aida Maryam Basri chairing a session, with the theme ‘Food Labeling, Safety and Regulations’. While another session was moderated by Dr Syazana Abdullah Lim with the theme ‘Functional Food Development and Analysis’. Two concurrent final session, moderated by Dr Hong Shyang Pei entitled ‘Sustainable Agriculture and Farming Practices’ and by Dr Masmunira Rambli with the theme ‘Food Processing and Engineering’ respectively. ICABF 2023 have presented a total of 33 papers for its first conference.

The closing ceremony marked the end of all the conferences and provided opportunity to acknowledge the achievements and contributions of the participants, speakers, and organising committees. These conferences have fostered a hub of intellectual exchange.
