The School of Computing and Informatics (SCI) recently hosted a captivating Holo-Ed demonstration at Lecture Theatre 4. This event highlighted the innovative use of holographic technology in education through immersive final year projects and a commercial application.

The demonstration showcased the advanced capabilities of HOLO-Ed technology, providing attendees with a glimpse into the future of interactive and experiential learning. Two standout final year projects were featured - a Virtual 3D Fashion Show that allows users to experience and interact with holographic fashion designs, and a Medical Virtual Reality Training system that leverages holographic simulations to provide realistic hands-on training for medical students and professionals in a safe, controlled environment.

Additionally, a commercial holographic application was presented, exemplifying how this cutting-edge technology can be applied in real-world scenarios, offering practical solutions and enhancing user experiences across various industries.

The Holo-Ed Demonstration underscored the School’s commitment to exploring and implementing advanced technologies that revolutionise the educational landscape, providing students with unparalleled opportunities for immersive and interactive learning experiences.
