21 May 2021 – A team of three PhD students from Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) bagged second place in the ASEAN Business School Connections and Change Learning Lab Competition organised by Azman Hashim International Business School (AHIBS) of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and DHL Express Malaysia.

Representing the country, 'Team The Dayangs'; Siti Aisah Janaji, Nurul Izzati Naqibah Zaidi and Hartini Hj Mashod from UTB School of Business; was announced second place during the Prize Awards Ceremony held virtually.

The competition, which oversees around fifty participations from eight ASEAN International Business Schools, required its participants to present their findings and feasible solutions on how DHL Express Malaysia can overcome the usage of technologies, new norms of engagement with employees, customers, and future work.

Ideas on how supply chain leaders and businesses can cope during the time of pandemic were delivered by looking at four categories: resilience issues, demand-related issues, transportation & warehousing-related issues, and people-related issues.

Team The Dayangs tackled the given issues by focusing on the usage of technology while emphasising on relationship engagement with both employees and customers. Recommendations were also given to DHL on how the company can expect changes in the future of work, for DHL remain agile in the industry.
