Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) participated in the Higher Education Expo 2024 held at the Bridex Hall 2, in Jerudong. The event, organised annually by the Ministry of Education (MoE), lasted two consecutive days from 3 to 4 February 2024.
Officiating the expo was the Guest of Honour Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs.
Welcoming the Minister of Home Affairs at UTB's pavilion was Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB. UTB Principal Officers, staff and university students were also at the pavilion supporting the expo.
While visiting UTB's pavilion, the Guest of Honour also launched the new UTB Corporate Video trailer and UTB Alumni Office, followed by an exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding between UTB and Unified National Networks Sendirian Berhad (UNN). This collaboration - Holographic Education (Holo-Ed) POC, between UNN, a provider of digital connectivity and IT infrastructure for emerging technology, and UTB, which has expertise in technology education- creates a transformative learning platform that transforms education.
UTB further engaged in the Higher Education Expo 2024 webinar scheduled for 5 February 2024, from 9.50 am to 10.20 am. Dr Mohammad Hazwan bin Azri, Programme Leader of Petroleum and Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, will conduct the session, focusing on “Introducing BSc (Hons) in Energy Engineering”.
Additionally, UTB is set to host the UTB Open Day 2024 (Campus Tour) on 6 to 7 February 2024.
