A roadshow on Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) – Micronet International College (MIC) Computing Degree Programmes organised by MIC was held for prospect students at the Library Complex, UTB.
The event began with a welcoming remark from the General Manager of MIC, Yang Mulia Ms Sharon Chin followed by a keynote address by Yang Mulia Professor Dr Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Hj Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB.
Also present at the event were Yang Mulia Mr Sylvester Yong, Chief Executive Officer of MIC; principal officers from UTB and MIC; and invited students.
Workshop session conducted by MIC was also held for Year 11 and GCE A’Level students. The workshop was divided into three main sessions namely Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality.
At the roadshow, representatives from MIC provided the prospective students an in-depth information on UTB-MIC Computing Degree Programmes – Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Computing (Major in Network Security) and Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Computing (Major in Multimedia). The programmes provide alternative pathways to enter UTB.
Eligible students will undergo their first year of the three-year articulation degree programmes at MIC then continue the remaining two academic years at UTB. The exclusive UTB-MIC Computing Degree Programmes will proceed until it is eventually-fully run by MIC.
