The Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) organised the Majlis Sambutan Hari Raya Aidilfitri 1447H/2026M celebration at the International Convention Centre in Berakas. The event was graced by the presence of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and other esteemed members of the royal family.
Representing Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) at the event were Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr Dayang Hjh Zohrah binti Hj Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB; Yang Mulia Pg Dr Mohamad Iskandar bin Pg Haji Petra, Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor; Yang Mulia Dr Mohamed Saiful bin Hj Omar, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (External & Industry Relations);Corporate Communications Office, Media Centre; and the students exhibitors.
Among the featured projects was "Predicting Academic Performance of Lower Secondary Students in Brunei Darussalam" by Rahul Breh, a PhD student from the School of Computing and Informatics.
Another project presented was "Comparing LLM Security Approaches: System Prompt vs User Prompt Defenses Against Prompt Injection" by Zulhazreen bin Burhan, a student from the ASEAN Cyber Shield Master of Science (by Coursework) in Cyber Security programme.
The exhibition also featured "Al-Powered Smart Robot for Sustainable Waste Management", developed by a multidisciplinary team comprising Abdul Alim Mubasyir bin Rosli (BSc (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering), Izzatul Iffah binti Ariffin (BSc (Hons) in Computing, Major in Software Development), Mateen bin Dr Mohamad Saiful (BSc (Hons) in Computing, Major in Data Analytics), Muhammad Khairuddin Adli bin Haji Hasnan (BSc (Hons) in Mechatronics Engineering), and Abdul Muhd Nur Khairil Amin bin Haji Japarudin (BSc (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering).
