Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) welcomed delegates from the City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) for a courtesy visit, which culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the institutions.

The visit began with a tour of UTB’s the Pearl Gallery and the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AiML) Laboratory, showcasing the university's facilities and research initiatives. It was followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat.

The Vice-Chancellor of UTB, Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr. Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, welcomed the delegation with a welcoming remark, followed by remarks from the President and University Distinguished Professor of CityUHK, Professor Dreddy Boey, before signing the MOU.

Representing UTB, Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr. Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, and representing CityUHK, Professor Dreddy Boey, both signed the MoU. This agreement signifies a significant step forward in fostering academic and research collaboration between the two universities.

The MoU encompasses several key areas of cooperation, including Academic exchange and research personnel collaboration, Exchange of students, Exploration of joint teaching initiatives, Sharing of joint research outcomes, and Exchange of institutional publications.

Following the signing ceremony, a discussion was held between the representatives of both institutions to explore potential areas of collaboration further and to discuss the implementation of the agreed initiatives.

This partnership underscores UTB's commitment to fostering international collaboration and enhancing its research and educational capabilities, promising a fruitful relationship with CityUHK.
