Six undergraduate students from the Faculty of Engineering (FEng), UTB School of Business (UTBSB), and School of Computing and Informatics (SCI) have departed the Sultanate for a six-month internship programme at Piper Aircraft, Inc. in Florida, USA, under the UTB ExperiencePLUSprogramme. This group marks the eleventh internship cohort to Piper since the educational partnership between UTB and Piper Aircraft, Inc. began in 2013.
The selected students namely Md Hazry Elzy bin Salwadi, BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering; Md Daniel Adam bin Md Danish 'Abid Ahlami, BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering; Md Syahmi Fahmi bin Hj Suhaimi, BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering; Dk Siti Raudahtul Jannah binti Pg Hj Sulaiman, BSc (Hons) Computing (Major in Software Development); Waezul Qawiem bin Hj Zulaiehi, BSc (Hons) in Information Security; and Nur 'Afifah Faza binti Ibarahim, BBus (Major in Finance and Risk Management). They have excelled academically and performed exceptionally well throughout a rigorous selection process conducted by Piper and the university.
Present to bid farewell were Yang Mulia Pg Dr Mohd Iskandar Pg Haji Petra, Acting Vice-Chancellor; Yang Mulia Mr Lim Chui Hua, Registrar and Secretary; Yang Mulia Elizah binti Radin Ismail, Deputy Registrar (Academic); Yang Mulia Pg Dr Seri Rahayu binti Pg Ya'akub, Deputy Dean (Academic) FEng; Yang Mulia Liana Artini Hj Md Nood, Deputy Dean (Academic) of UTBSB; Yang Mulia Dr Hih Wida Susanty Hj Suhaili, Senior Assistant Professor from the SCI; and Yang Mulia Ustaz Md Fazalley bin Hj Hidup, Head of Religious Unit Office.
