Professor Somnuk Phon-Amnuaisuk, from the School of Computing and Informatics (SCI), presented the Second Inaugural Professorial Lecture this morning. The lecture took place at Lecture Theater 4, Phase 2 of the university.

Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Mulia Dr. Mohammad Saiful bin Haji Omar, Acting Vice-Chancellor of UTB.

The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat, followed by a welcoming remark by Yang Mulia Dr. Hj Sharul Tazrajiman bin Hj Tajuddin, the Dean of SCI.

Professor Somnuk then delivered his presentation on the ‘Creative Computing and Generative Models’. The lecture thoroughly explored visual perception, the pertinent computational facets, and the endeavor to quantify aesthetics within visual creations.

The lecture provided a profound examination of the intersection of visual perception, computer science, and aesthetics.
