The Robotic and Coding Conquest 2023, organised by Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) in conjunction with the Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition (MYCE) 2023, is a competition specifically designed to engage students in Brunei Darussalam. The aim is to develop Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) skills and foster a culture of innovation by providing a platform for students to showcase their robotics and coding abilities, it is anticipated that events like these will contribute to the realisation of Brunei Wawasan 2023, bringing Brunei closer to its national vision.
Today marked the beginning of the Robotic and Coding Conquest 2023 with the Machine Learning Competition held at UTB Lecture Theatre 4. The machine learning competition was made possible through a partnership with industry partner TechSource Systems.
The event will continue with the IOT Smart Home Workshop scheduled for 23 and 25 June 2023. Following that, the Robotic ‘Build and Design’ Workshop will take place on the 30 June 2023 and 2 July 2023, with both workshops being held in GA.15 of the university. The Robotic Workshop is conducted in collaboration with Seria Energy Lab.
The Robotic and Coding Conquest 2023 workshops will feature a lineup of UTB lecturers, including Dr. Ibrahim Venkat, Dr. Sharina Binti Yunus, Khairuddin Bin Hj Ghafar, and Ir Dr. Ahmad Azlan Bin Ab Aziz. These workshops delve into the challenges and opportunities that arise from the implementation of 4IR technology.
The final day of the Robotic and Coding Conquest 2023 competition, scheduled for 9 July 2023, will feature the ultimate round of the robotic competition. On the same day, an Award Ceremony and a showcase of the participants' achievements will take place.
