> RADED END USER TRAINING WORKSHOPS BY CFTR

The Centre for Transport Research (CfTR) at Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), in partnership with the National Road Safety Council (MKKJR) and The Royal Brunei Police Force's (RBPF) Investigation and Traffic Control Department (JSKLL), recently conducted a five-day training on Road Accident Data Enhancement and Development (RADED) for end users. The programme ran from 9-12 September 2024, for police officers, with an additional session on 14 September 2024, for the insurance sector.

This training initiative aimed to enhance the road traffic accident (RTA) data collection process using the new RADED computerised system. The primary objective was to improve the quality of RTA records in Brunei Darussalam, facilitating more targeted and evidence-based road safety initiatives. The training saw a diverse group of participants, totalling 104 attendees: 81 officers from the RBPF and 23 representatives from the Brunei Insurance and Takaful Association (BITA).
