This collaborative endeavour is underpinned by a profound acknowledgement of BPC Sdn Bhd's significant contribution. This support not only enhances UTB’s physical spaces but also underscores the commitment to greener, sustainable energy for the growth and prosperity of Brunei Darussalam. This contribution guides both institutions towards a future where sustainability becomes a way of life rather than just a concept.

The signing of today's agreement represents a significant milestone, symbolising a shared vision between UTB and BPC Sdn Bhd for a cleaner, more sustainable future. In the face of challenges such as climate change, resource depletion, and the imperative for responsible energy consumption, the importance of such contributions cannot be overstated.

As a subsidiary of Darussalam Assets, BPC Sdn Bhd plays a crucial role by supplying 40% of Brunei's national power demand. In fulfilling its responsibilities and social obligations, BPC Sdn Bhd is dedicated to contributing to Brunei Darussalam’s Wawasan 2035 renewable energy targets and supporting climate change goals, thereby contributing to a low-carbon and climate-resilient nation. The realisation of these targets involves the deployment of large, medium, and small-scale Solar Photovoltaic (PV) installations.

This collaborative effort extends its support to UTB’s Sustainable Development Goals, emphasising the importance of sustainable practices. As a member of UTB’s Industry Advisory Board, BPC Sdn Bhd actively shares its knowledge and experience in solar PV renewable energy to contribute to further education, research, and development of this crucial resource. This combined effort promises a positive impact and a better future for all.
