UTB held Majlis Ibadah Korban and Aqiqah to enliven Hari Raya Aidil Adha celebration this year. The event was held at the University’s Concourse Hall, UTB Campus. The event was jointly organised by the Religious Unit, Student Affairs Office and UTB Student Representative Council (MPPUTB).
Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Mulia Professor Dr Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Hj Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB. Also present were Principal Officers; the university’s staff and students; and invited guests.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-fatihah followed by Selawat Tafrijiyyah and a mass Takbir Raya.
A religious talk on Taqarrub melalui ibadah Korban was presented by Dr. Haji Hambali bin Haji Jaili, Assistant Professor, Director of Public Relations and International Centre of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA).
The Guest of Honour then distributed the sacrificial meat to 30 asnaf fakir miskin and other relevant recipients.
The event then concluded with the presentation of a token of appreciation to the invited speaker and reading of the Doa Selamat.
