In conjunction with Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) Convocation 2022, 78 participants took part in the Khatam Al-Quran ceremony that was held at the University Mosque, Tungku Link, Gadong.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development, as Acting Chair of UTB Council. Also present was Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr. Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the Guest of Honour, followed by recitation of Surah Ad-Dhuha until Surah Al-Masad by the participants, led by Yang Mulia Awang Ahmad Bukhari bin Haji Haji, graduand from Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering.
The event then proceeded with Takhtim and Doa Khatam recited by Yang Mulia Awang Ahmad Syafiq bin Dr. Haji Roslan, graduand from Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology.
The Guest of Honour later presented certificates and souvenirs to the male khatam participants and UTB Vice-Chancellor presented for the female khatam participants.. The ceremony concluded with a Doa Selamat read by Yang Mulia Imam Abdul Muhaimin bin Dr Haji Serbini, Mosque Officer, Level II of Department of Mosque Affairs, Ministry of Religious Affairs.
For the upcoming UTB Convocation Ceremony 2022, a total of 381 graduands will be graduating on Monday, 5 September 2022 at the Plenary Hall, International Convention Centre (ICC), Berakas.
