Interactive sharing sessions by Professor Tan Hun Tong, United Overseas Bank Chair and Professor of Accounting at the Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore were held for two consecutive days from 7 to 8 December 2022. The sessions were organised by UTB School of Business.
On the first day, Professor Tan Hun Tong presented a lecture entitled Perspectives on Current Topics in Accounting Research which he discussed on the latest research trends and areas of accountancy. He also focused on the comparative advantage of the experimental method and the use of psychological theories. For illustrations, he used projects that he has worked on as well as his current working papers.
On the second day he presented the Navigating the publication process, in which he explained the research process from topic identification, project completion and finally to the publication and review process.
The interactive sessions were open to all staff and students of the university.
