In conjunction with the commencement of Brunei Darusaslam’s 39th National Day Celebration, Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) held a flag-hoisting ceremony at the university campus.
Present as the Guest of Honour to officiate the ceremony was UTB Vice-Chancellor, Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr. Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman. Also present were the Assistant Vice-Chancellors, UTB’s Principal Officers, staff and students of the university.
The event started with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat. Then, the Guest of Honour presented the national flag to the Flag-Hoisting Lead, Yang Mulia 92187 SSJN KT Md Norjazlan Waie bin Josri. The UTB Army Cadet member raised the flag in a ceremonial manner, while everyone present sang the national anthem 'Allah Peliharakan Sultan’ and Tekad Kemerdekaan.
