A group of 26 people, consisting of teachers and Year-11 students from Sayyidina Husain Secondary School, visited the School of Applied Sciences and Mathematics (SASM) building of Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) with the aim of gaining a deeper understanding of the SASM programmes.
The visit commenced with a welcoming remark by Yang Mulia Dr Namasivayam Navaranjan, Dean of SASM. This was followed by an informative presentation introducing SASM’s academic programmes namely Agrotechnology delivered by Dr Grace Hong Shyang Pei, Food Science and Technology, by Dr Aida Maryam Hj Basri and Applied Mathematics and Economics by Dr Siti Nur Afiqah Wajihah Syahindah Hj Marali. The session provided students with valuable insights into the entry requirements, programme structures, and potential career pathways available in these fields.
The visit concluded with a guided tour of SASM’s newly established laboratories, where students had the opportunity to observe practical demonstrations and experience the modern facilities and equipment that support teaching, learning, and research within the school.
