On the occasion of His Royal Highness Prince (Dr.) Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Ibni Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, Pro-Chancellor of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) and Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) 50th Birthday; UBD, UNISSA and UTB held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony.
The ceremony took place at the University Mosque at Jalan Tungku Link.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Dr Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education. Also present were Yang Mulia Dr Dayang Shamsiah Zuraini Kanchanawati binti Hj Tajuddin, Permanent Secretary (Core Education), Ministry of Education; Yang Mulia Dr Hazri bin Hj Kifle, Vice-Chancellor of UBD; Yang Mulia Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Rector of UNISSA; Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Hj Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB; Yang Mulia Professor Dr Noor Azam bin Orang Kaya Maha Bijaya Hj Othman, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Corporate), Ministry of Education; universities senior officials, lecturers, staff, and students.
The ceremony commenced with the mass Maghrib and Sunat Hajat prayers led by Yang Mulia Abdul Muhaimin bin Dr Hj Serbini, Imam Level II, Department of Mosque Affairs, Ministry of Religious Affairs, followed by the mass recitation of Surah Yassin and Doa Kesyukuran led by Yang Mulia Muhammad Syazwan Ghassani bin Mohd Sahron, Bilal level II, Department of Mosque Affairs, Ministry of Religious Affairs. The ceremony concluded with the mass Isya prayer.
