Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) held a Miniature Table Flag Distribution Ceremony for the 40th National Day Celebration 2024 and the Semarak Pengibaran Bendera programme. The event was held at the Concourse Hall of the university.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr Dayang Hjh Zohrah binti Hj Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB. Also in attendance were Yang Mulia Dr Chin Wei Keh, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Higher Education); Yang Mulia Associate Professor Pengiran Dr. Mohammad Iskandar bin Pengiran Haji Petra, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Corporate and Administration, Academic Affairs) Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD); Yang Mulia Dr Arman bin Haji Asmad, Assistant Rector Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA); senior government officials, UTB’s staff and students.
The event commenced with a welcoming speech by the event's Chairperson, Yang Mulia Mr. Lim Chui Hua, Registrar and Secretary of UTB. Following this, the national anthem ‘Allah Peliharakan Sultan’ was sung.
Attendees then proceeded to sing the Patriotic song of Brunei Darussalam. A multimedia presentation showcasing the Semarak Pengibaran Bendera programme was presented, concluding the event with the distribution of the miniature flag.
