The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to Brunei Darussalam, Her Excellency Marian Jocelyn R. Tirol-Ignacio made a courtesy visit to UTB accompanied by Ms Mayla M. Perez, Cultural Officer of the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines; and Mr Philip Adrian G. Fernandez, Social Media Assistant of the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines.
UTB Vice-Chancellor, Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr. Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, Assistant Vice Chancellor (Academic), Dr Hajah Ena Kartina binti Haji Abdul Rahman; Dr Mohamad Saiful bin Haji Omar, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Industry and Services); and Director of Corporate and Communications Office, Hajah Dayang Siti Asmahlati Bolkini Haji A. Ahmad welcomed Her Excellency and her entourage.
During the visit, fruitful discussions took place regarding potential collaborations in academia, joint conferences, and seminars, with a particular focus on the critical topics of climate change, engineering, and fashion design. Ideas were shared and views were exchanged, with the aim of fostering mutually beneficial partnerships that could bring about positive bilateral cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the Philippines.
