Swinburne University of Technology (SUT), Malaysia, led by Yang Mulia Prof. Dr. Ida Fatimawati binti Adi Badiozaman, Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research), paid a courtesy visit to UTB this morning held at the Emerald Room of the University. Accompanying her was Yang Mulia Dr. Viknesh Andiappan, Associate Director of the School of Research.

The delegation was welcomed by Yang Mulia Dr. Mohamad Saiful bin Haji Omar, Acting Vice-Chancellor of UTB; Yang Mulia Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hasnain Isa, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation); Yang Mulia Dr. Mohamed Saleem Haja Nazmudeen, Dean of Graduate Studies Office, and Yang Mulia Dr. Wendy Pei Qin Ng, Acting Director of Corporate Communications Office.

The purpose of this visit was to explore potential research collaborations between UTB and SUT. Discussions focused on identifying synergies, joint initiatives, and strategic partnerships that could enhance academic excellence and societal impact for both institutions. The visit concluded with a campus tour led by the UTB Graduate Studies and Research Office, including visits to the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AiML) Lab, CISCO Lab, Solar EV Charging Station, Material Testing Centre, 3D Printing Lab, Vertical Rice Farming Site, and Freshwater Prawn Research Lab.
