UTB received a courtesy visit from Public Services Department (JPAN) Sabah, Malaysia led by Yang Mulia Datuk Zainudin bin Aman, Director General of JPAN. The visit took place at the Main Conference Room of the University.

Together with him were Yang Mulia Datuk Norlija @ Norlijah binti Danin, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development; Yang Mulia Puan Hajah Bahiwata S. Mulia, Group Manager, Education Development Division; Yang Mulia Encik Ramlan bin Awang Ali, Chief Executive Officer, Sabah Islamic Council; Yang Mulia Encik Mohamad Sidik bin Awang Adi, Chief Assistant Secretary, Special Duties Office; Yang Mulia Puan Emas Sanjongan Datu Okar, Director, Sabah State Government Scholarship; Yang Mulia Puan Roswati binti Maddun, Head of State Government Scholarship Offer Division; and Yang Mulia Puan Josephine Jomiu, Head of Student Scholarship Affairs Division, Sabah State Government.

Welcoming the delegation were Yang Mulia Dr Mohamad Saiful bin Hj Omar, Acting Vice-Chancellor of UTB; Yang Mulia Dr Hjh Ena Kartina binti Hj Abdul Rahman, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs); Yang Mulia Prof Dr Hasnain Isa, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation); Yang Mulia Dr Au Thein Wan, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Student, Alumni and Services); Yang Mulia Mr Lim Chui Hua, Registrar and Secretary; Yang Mulia Dr Ismawi bin Hj Md Yusof, Director of Industry Liaison Office; Yang Mulia Dr Wendy Pei Qin Ng, Acting Director of Corporate Communications Office; and Yang Mulia Ms Elizah binti Radin Mas Ismail, Deputy Registrar (Academic).

The event commenced with a welcoming speech by the Acting Vice-Chancellor of UTB followed by an introduction of the university and overview of the university’s programmes presented by the Acting Director of Corporate Communications Office and Deputy Registrar (Academic).

This visit signifies a significant step towards fostering educational collaboration between the Sabah State Government and UTB. The primary objective is to explore avenues for partnership and mutual cooperation in academic endeavors. Additionally, the visit seeks to create opportunities for students from Sabah to pursue higher education in Brunei Darussalam, thereby enriching their academic experiences and fostering cultural exchange between the two regions.
