> CHRONONUTRITION AND HEALTH IMPLICATION LECTURE BY UCSI

Associate Professor Dr Satvinder Kaur from the Faculty of Applied Sciences of University College Sedaya International (UCSI), Malaysia was invited to deliver a special lecture at Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), on the ‘Emerging Research - Unlocking your Body's Internal Clock - How chrononutrition can improve your health’. The lecture was held at the lecture theatre 2, library complex of the university.

This lecture was attended by the lectures and students of Food Science and Technology programme area, School of Applied Sciences and Mathematics.

In Dr Satvinder’s lecture, she highlighted the aspects of chrononutrition behaviours on breakfast skipping, night eating, and eating window as well as their roles in improving human health. Chrononutrition is a time-related dietary approach that builds a relationship between meal timing, circadian rhythms, and health. Research has demonstrated that nutrient ingestion can impact our “internal clock” suggesting that the time of our meals may impact our health caused by disrupted circadian rhythms.

The lecture concluded with question-and-answer session.
