> BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH TALK

In an effort to support the global campaign to increase awareness of breast cancer disease in October, UTB ExCo Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) together with ExCo International Affairs (IA) organised a breast cancer awareness talk for staff and students of UTB. The talk was held at the lecture theater 2 of the university.

The talk was conducted by invited speaker from the Health Promotion Centre, Brunei Darussalam, Yang Mulia Hajah Noor Artini Haji Abdul Rahman, Nursing Officer, Health Promotion Centre School Health Services, Ministry of Health.

During the talk, Hajah Noor Artini emphasised on the importance of monthly breast self-examination (BSE) which could help for early detection, signs and symptoms associated with the disease. They also demonstrated the BSE techniques using models to examine the breast cancer signs.

The event ended with question-and-answer sessions.
