The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Brunei Darussalam launched Brunei Darussalam-Iran collaborative books and presented a total of nine book donation to Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), this afternoon at the Lecture Theater 2, Library Complex of the university.
Present as the Special Guest was Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Professor Dr Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB.
The event commenced with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by a welcoming speech by Her Excellency Homeira Rigi. This was followed by poetry recital by performers in 3 languages namely Malay, English and Iran.
The event proceeded with Dr Rama Rao Karri, Assistant Professor of Faculty of Engineering delivering his speech alongside an Iranian Professor, Professor Mohammad Hadi Dehgam, followed by a video presentation of the book launch.Additionally, a video presentation showcased the Embassy’s Academic cooperation with Higher Education Institutions in Brunei Darussalam.
Her Excellency then presented books to UTB tothe Guest of Honour. Moreover, certificates of appreciation were also presented to the book collaborator acknowledging their invaluable contributions.
The book donation event, organized by the Iranian Embassy, exemplified a remarkable celebration of cultural exchange, further strengthening the bonds between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Brunei Darussalam. Additionally, it significantly enriched the academic community at UTB, providing them with an invaluable collection of knowledge from Iran, contributing to the university's pursuit of academic excellence and cross-cultural understanding.
