ACADEMIC ROBE FOR CONVOCATION 2025

ORDERING OF ACADEMIC ROBE:
Please be informed that ordering of the academic robe for Convocation 2025 is now open. Please take note of the following steps to make an order for the academic robe:
- Download the Academic Robe Fitting and Deposit Form from the website and fill in the information requested (printing of the form at the Finance Section, Bursar’s Office will be charged BND0.20 cents per paper).
- Deposit Payment of robe could be made via BIBD online transfer, or Cash Deposit Machines (CDM), or over BIBD counter, from 9th June 2025 until 21st June 2025 (for rental charges, purchasing or deposit for the gown). Please refer to the bill payment guide.
- Screenshot and submit your proof of payment by completing the form at
https://bit.ly/utbrobedepositpayment2025
- Those who have made the deposit payment can bring the Academic Robe Fitting and Deposit Form directly to the Room GA.24 for the fitting process.
- Please be seated outside the room and wait to be called for fitting.
- Then, submit your Academic Robe Fitting and Deposit Form to the staff in charge of the robe fitting.

PAYMENT FOR RENTAL of the academic robe should be MADE PRIOR COLLECTION OF THE ROBE.
PURCHASING OF ACADEMIC ROBE:
Academic robes for purchase would be based on standard sizes (i.e. size S, M, L, XL and XXL) as stated below:

A DEPOSIT of B$300.00 is required when you make a purchase of the robe. The full payment should be made upon collection of the robe.
MALE GRADUATES are to purchase their own songkok with ‘taris’ at the Pusat Latihan Kesenian dan Pertukangan Tangan Brunei in Bandar Seri Begawan. Please place your order at the earliest convenience to avoid having any issue near time.
FEMALE GRADUATES are advised to purchase the grey (official graduation tudung) provided by University Teknologi Brunei with a pricing of B$10.00.

DEPOSIT PAYMENT FOR RENTING OF ACADEMIC ROBES
Graduands who opt to rent academic robes are required to pay a refundable deposit in addition to the rental fee. The deposit will be refunded upon the return of the robes in good condition. Details of the deposit payment are as follows:

COLLECTION OF ACADEMIC ROBE:
Details regarding the collection of academic robes will be communicated in due course. Please note that the final date for collection will be one day prior to the Convocation rehearsal.
RETURN OF ACADEMIC ROBE:
All rented academic robes are expected to be returned no later than ONE WEEK AFTER the Convocation Ceremony. A late return fee of B$10.00 per week will be imposed thereafter. Robes returned after 30th September 2025 will be CONSIDERED SOLD, AND THE FULL PURCHASE PRICE MUST BE PAID IN FULL.
REMINDER:
CANCELLATION OF ROBE RENTAL/PURCHASE IS NOT ALLOWED. As such, the deposit is non-refundable and graduates will be held responsible to pay the remaining amount of the robe purchased.
Graduates are responsible for the care of the academic robes against any damage, stained or loss arising from negligence. Academic robes are considered sold at full price for any damage, stained or loss caused by graduates.
