Research Interest

  • Investigate the nutritional and functional properties of an under-utilised resources found in Brunei Darussalam i.e.; fish, shellfish and plant species.
  • Develop novel food (halal) products from an under-utilised resources i.e.: fish, shellfish and plant species found in Brunei; to study their protein-lipid, protein-polysaccharide interaction in food system to enhance food quality.
  • Develop Brunei’s traditional food product to assist in export quality. Analysing from raw material, nutrition, processing (HACCP) food packaging and export.
  • Study the anti-oxidant properties of under-utilised resources i.e.; herbs, plant species in Brunei.
  • To study the nutritional and functional, anti-oxidant properties of underutilised herbs and medicinal plants found in Brunei to be developed into essential oils.

  • Chairperson of HAWA (Brunei’s Sole Breastfeeding Support Group (NGO) Supported by Hospital Suri Seri Begawan, Kuala Belait.
