Where can research at UTB leads to?
UTB congratulates Muhammad Shaban who recently won a competitive scholarship from Loughborough University to do his PhD.
Muhammad Shaban, who hails from Pakistan, came to UTB to do his master by research degree under the supervision of Assistant Professor Md Abdus Salam at the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Programme Area. He completed his degree in 2016 with a thesis on “Analysis of Induced Sheath Voltage In High Tension Cables Under Different Bonding/Configuration”. During his study Shaban produced four conference and one journal publications indexed by Scopus.

Summer School in Paris ……
Noorul Zatul Amali won a place in TOTAL Energy Summer School 2016. Her trip to Paris was fully sponsored by TOTAL.
Organized by the French energy company, the summer school is a highly selective program and received 6761 applications for the 80 student places offered in 2016.
Noorul did her Final Year Project research on energy sustainable bamboo fibers as a replacement for steel reinforcement in concrete. Her project supervisor was Professor Zuruzi Abu Samah from the Mechanical Engineering Programme Area.
Noorul has presented her research results at international conferences in Brunei and Bali.
