3 August 2019 – In conjunction with Royal Brunei Armed Forces’ (RBAF) 58th Anniversary, the RBAF in collaboration with the Ministry of Education held a Career and Health Promotion Roadshow at White Canopy, Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB).
The roadshow was officiated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Guest of Honour, Yang Mulia Dayangku Ida Nurul-Fitri binti Pengiran Kahar, Dean of Students Affairs and Yang Mulia Major (U) Pengiran Haji Yusri bin Pengiran Haji Sharifuddin, Chairman of the RBAF Career and Health Promotion Roadshow.
The students from UTB and various sixth form schools attended talks by the representatives from various RBAF units including Royal Brunei Land Force, Royal Brunei Navy, Royal Brunei Airforce, Officer Cadet School, Medical and Dental Services, RBAF Recruiting Office, Directorate of Administration and Manpower (JPTM) Scholarship scheme and RBAF Religious Department (JAMAAT). The representatives provide prospective students an in-depth information about the opportunities that RBAF has to offer.
The roadshow featured an array of military and medical displays that provide students with interactive experience, free health screening and career information. The students and visitors also had the chance to view the vehicles used by the RBAF such as the helicopter and armoured fighting vehicle. The roadshow aimed to gain interest of the students and to provide exposure on multitude of exciting careers that the students can venture within the RBAF and create awareness on the importance of public health and safety.
