FIVE STUDENTS LEAVE FOR INDUSTRIAL EXPERIENCE AT PIPER AIRCRAFT, FLORIDA

9 January 2019 – Five Undergraduate students under the Faculty of Engineering and School of Computing and Informatics left the Sultanate for an industrial experience of six months in Florida, USA on an internship programme under the UTB Experience PLUS in collaboration with Piper Aircraft Inc. starting 13 January 2020.

The students include Awang Kua Chun Hau, Mohd Alai Arizul bin Abdullah, Awang Ronald Mook Wu Chong, Dayang Ng Jia Ying and Dk Siti Nur Diyana @ Dk Raudhah binti Pg Shahminan  who have outstanding academic records and undergone competitive selection process by Piper Aircraft and the University.

At Piper, the students will gain industrial exposure and enhance their practical and industrial experience as part of their undergraduate degree studies. The Undergraduates will be monitored by the University by sending their progress reports.

This is the seventh cohort of the internship programme since the collaboration between UTB and Piper Aircraft began in 2013.

UTB and Piper Aircraft Inc. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the internship programme on 4 September 2013. Piper Aircraft Inc. is headquartered in Vero Beach, Florida. A global force in aviation, Piper is an investment of the Ministry of Finance of the Government of Brunei.
