[UPDATING INFO IN PROGRESS]
The Information Literacy Class is a library instruction service designed to help users develop the knowledge and skills needed to effectively access, evaluate, and utilise information resources available through the UTB Library.
Conducted by appointed UTB Library staff, these sessions can be arranged on a one-to-one, small-group, or large-group basis to accommodate different learning needs. The classes guide the effective use of the Library's services, collections, facilities, and online databases, enabling users to maximise the resources available in support of their academic, research, and professional pursuits.
Learning areas include:
Introduction to UTB Library services and facilities
Using the Library catalogue (OPAC)
Accessing and searching online databases/electronic resources
Developing effective search strategies for academic research
Locating and accessing print and digital library materials
Basic guidance on referencing and citation (upon request)
Information Literacy Classes are available by appointment and can be tailored to meet the specific requirements of individuals, courses, or research groups.
