04 December 2018 – Ten Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) students under the Faculty of Engineering, School of Computing and Informatics, UTB School of Business, School of Applied Science and Mathematics and The School of Design as well as two lecturers departed today for a 10-day Discovery Trip to China. The delegation was headed by Yang Mulia Dr Hajah Nor Zainah binti Siau, Senior Lecturer at the School of Computing and Informatics, and accompanied by Yang Mulia Dr Malai Zeiti binti Sheikh Abdul Hamid, Assistant Professor at the Centre for Communication, Teaching and Learning (CCTL).
The discovery trip includes visits to three cities including Shenzhen, Xiamen, and Quanzhou. During the trip, the delegations will visit local Universities to exchange views with academicians and students. The delegates will also visit industries and high-tech companies, and tour famous historical and cultural places to learn about the Chinese culture and the language. The discovery trip is supported and sponsored by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Negara Brunei Darussalam to strengthen the educational cooperation and exchanges between China and Brunei Darussalam.
