Funded projects

The following project funded by the Brunei Research Council (BRC) was completed in March 2017:

  • Road Infrastructure Safety Study (RISaS) (September 2013 – March 2017)

The following two projects were awarded by the Ministry of Communications but have yet to commence:

  • Road Accident Data Enhancement and Development (RADED)
  • Development of Average Speed Monitoring System (ASMOS)

The following two projects funded the UTB internal grant are ongoing and expected to be completed in July 2018:

  • An investigation into the safety performance of Jalan Tutong (August 2017 – July 2018)
  • Review of design guidelines for rainfall-induced slope failures in Brunei Darussalam

The following research proposal was submitted to the Brunei Research Council (BRC), and is currently under consideration for funding:

  • Optimal design of public bus network in Brunei Darussalam using transport modelling

The following research proposal was submitted to the ASEAN University Network/Southeast Asia Engineering Education Development Network (AUN/SEED-Net), and is currently under consideration for funding:

  • Hazard Mapping and risk assessment of haze in Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore
