9 November 2019 – Thousands of people gathered at the Taman Sir Haji Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien to take part in the Maulidur Rasul procession around the capital to honour the birth of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W which is observed every 12 Rabiulawal of Hijrah.
His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to lead the Maulidur Rasul Grand Assembly and Procession covering 2.3km around the capital.
Male Principal Officers, lecturers, staff and students from UTB also enliven the occasion by joining auspicious procession. Leading the UTB group was the Acting Vice-Chancellor of UTB, Yang Mulia Awang Haji Ady Syarmin bin Hj Md Taib.
