The library holds over 32,000 items in many formats. The collection has heavy emphasis on the areas of engineering, technology, business and computing. These are relevant to the existing programmes of the University.
The collection is served within the following categories:
The reference collection consists of various reference tools, including dictionaries, encyclopedias, directories, indexes, handbooks and guides. These materials can be found at the Reference Section at level 2. Usage is strictly within the library only.
E-Resources The online e-resources are provided as an important academic support tool other than the printed collections. This will ease your search for articles and e-books from anywhere within the UTB campus via the library website's E-Resources Page
Journals & Magazines (subscribed & gifts) Current journals and magazines are shelved in subject order at the Serials Display shelves found at level 3. Local newsletters received as gifts from the government and other organisations are also displayed. Usage is strictly within the library only.
Newspapers The library subscribes to the following newspapers:
- Berita Harian
- The Brunei Times
- The Borneo Bulletin
- Media Permata
- The Star
- The Straits Times (Singapore)
Bruneiana These consists of Brunei local materials and are kept at the Reference Area at level 2.
ASEAN These can be found at level 2.
Conference Proceedings These can be found at level 2.
Islamic These can be found at level 2.
Fiction A small collection can be found at level 1.
Media The Media Collection provides the non-print materials including audio cassettes, video cassettes, DVDs, and CD-ROMs. Items in the media collection can be found on level 2 returned at the Main Counter at level 1.
