21 January 2020 – About 14 students from Management and Science University (MSU), Malaysia visited UTB for two days as part of their Global Leadership Programme. The visit was hosted by the School of Computing and Informatics (SCI).
The students were from the Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE) undertaking computer programmes. Leading the delegation was Yang Mulia Dr. Zurida Ishak, the Program Manager for Faculty of Information Sciences and Engineering (FISE).
During the first day of the visit, the delegation was welcomed by SCI and the International and Public Relations Office (IPRO) held at the Main Conference Room of the University. The visit began with welcoming remarks from Yang Mulia Dr. Hjh Nor Zainah binti Siau, Deputy Dean of SCI and Yang Mulia Dr. Zurida Ishak, the Program Manager of FISE respectively. Both sides also discussed about potential areas of collaboration between the two universities in the areas of student exchange programme and MSU’s Global Mobility programme.
The delegation was given an overview of the University followed by a campus tour and an ice-breaking session.
The visit aimed to expose FISE students with up-to-date facilities, current research and curriculum delivery at SCI. It is also to intensify students’ knowledge in the area of computer science, cyber security and information systems.
