Dear staff and students, 

Welcome to the new semester !

As staff and students are returning to campus after the semester break, the University would like to remind everyone to continue adhering to the ongoing precautions that are in still in effect during the current pandemic situation:

  • Self-check your body temperature at either the Phase 1 Entrance Lobby, Phase 2 Entrance Lobby, Phase 3 Common Engineering Block (CEB) Building Lobby or UTB Library. Those with temperatures above 37.5℃ are not allowed to enter.
  • Use your BruHealth application to scan the QR codes upon entering UTB premises. Only those with green and yellow codes are allowed to enter.
  • While on campus, staff and students are required to maintain physical distancing, ensure good personal hygiene and practise proper etiquette when coughing and sneezing. Wearing of face masks is strongly encouraged.
  • If you feel unwell, seek medical attention immediately and call the Health Advice Line 148 for further advice.

All staff and students are urged to take the usage of the BruHealth application seriously, especially in scanning the QR Code as it is used by the MOH for contact tracing purposes in the event of an outbreak of infection. It has been COMPULSORY for the public to scan the BruHealth QR codes upon entering and exiting any premises since Monday, 7th September 2020.

In this regard, UTB BCP would like to remind staff and students to comply with all regulations and directives related to the reduction of social distancing measures that have been issued by MOH. Any individual found to be in violation of or disobey any order issued shall be an offense under the Infectious Diseases Act (Section 204), which if found guilty can be issued compound fine up to $5,000 or can be prosecuted in court carrying a fine up to $10,000 or imprisonment up to 6 months or both. MOH will not hesitate to take legal action against anyone who does not comply with the directives issued.

Selamat datang ke semester baru!

Dengan hormat sukacita merujuk kepada staf dan pelajar akan kembali ke kampus setelah cuti semester, pihak Universiti ingin mengingatkan semua untuk terus sentiasa mematuhi langkah berjaga-jaga semasa situasi pandemik seperti berikut:

  • Memastikan suhu badan awda diperiksa di lobi Pintu Masuk Fasa 1, Pintu Masuk Fasa 2, Lobi Bangunan Common Engineering Block (CEB) Fasa 3 atau Perpustakaan UTB. Mereka yang mempunyai suhu melebihi 37.5 ℃ adalah tidak dibenarkan masuk.
  • Untuk terus menggunakan aplikasi BruHealth untuk mengimbas kod QR sebelum memasuki premis UTB. Hanya mereka yang mempunyai Kod Hijau dan Kuning sahaja yang akan dibenarkan masuk.
  • Semasa berada di dalam kampus, staf dan pelajar juga diminta untuk mengamalkan penjarakkan sosial, menjaga kebersihan diri dan mengamalkan etika batuk dan bersin yang betul. Memakai sungkup muka adalah sangat digalakkan.
  • Sekiranya awda merasa tidak sihat, segera dapatkan rawatan perubatan atau menghubungi Talian Nasihat Kesihatan 148 untuk mendapatkan nasihat lebih lanjut.

 

Semua staf dan pelajar adalah dinasihatkan untuk mengambil serius penggunaan aplikasi BruHealth, terutama sekali dalam mengimbas kod QR kerana ia digunakan oleh Kementerian Kesihatan dalam melaksanakan pengesanan kontak (contact tracing) dengan segera, jika berlaku sebarang penularan jangkitan. Orang ramai kini adalah DIMESTIKAN untuk mengimbas kod QR BruHealth apabila masuk dan keluar dari mana-mana premis sejak ianya berkuatkuasa pada hari Isnin, 7hb September 2020.

Dalam hal ini, BCP UTB ingin mengingatkan staf dan pelajar untuk mematuhi semua peraturan dan arahan yang berkaitan dengan pengurangan langkah-langkah penjarakkan sosial yang telah dikeluarkan oleh Kementerian Kesihatan. Mana-mana individu yang didapati melanggar atau ingkar akan mana-mana arahan yang telah dikeluarkan maka ianya adalah menjadi satu kesalahan di bawah Akta Penyakit Berjangkit (Penggal 204), yang mana jika didapati bersalah boleh dikenakan denda kompaun hingga $5,000 atau boleh didakwa ke mahkamah yang membawa denda sehingga $10,000 atau penjara sehingga 6 bulan atau kedua-duanya sekali. Kementerian Kesihatan tidak akan teragak-agak untuk mengambil tindakan undang-undang terhadap sesiapa yang tidak mematuhi arahan yang dikeluarkan.

Dear all staff and students,

With reference to the below email from the Government Information dated 19 May 2020, all UTB staff and students who have not registered with the BruHealth application are advised to download and register as BruHealth QR Code will be in place in several strategic locations in UTB starting on 15 June 2020.

With the BruHealth app, all are required to update their health status daily. Cooperation from everyone in using the BruHealth app and scanning of the QR Code at the entry and exit points in UTB will help facilitate the Ministry of Health (MOH) in contact tracing should the need arise in UTB.

Dear colleagues,

With reference to my earlier email to all Deans, Directors and Heads of Section regarding the above issued on 25th March 2020, we wish to inform that the our dear Vice-Chancellor has approved our University’s Business Continuity Plan for the current Work-From-Home (WFH) to be discontinued in two stages.

Please be informed that the normal working arrangement will resume on Monday, 15th June 2020 for non-vulnerable staff, and Monday, 29th June 2020 for staff categorised as vulnerable. This would mean that 100% of our staff would Work-from-Office (WFO) effective from 29th June 2020. This is part of the de-escalation plan for our university in view of COVID-19 current situation. 

Please also be informed that starting on 15th June 2020, all staff and students will be required to use the BruHealth application to gain entry and exit by scanning the QR codes that will be located in strategic locations around the campus. Our BCP Secretary will issue email to all staff and students regarding the BruHealth application.

Dear all UTBians,

  1.  In an effort to assist the Government in enhancing COVID-19 screening and data collection for analyses, all UTBians are encouraged to complete the self-assessment questionnaire at http://www.healthinfo.gov.bn at the earliest convenience.
  2. We would also like to request staff to provide an update of at least 2 emergency contacts. Enclosed is the form to fill in and kindly duly complete the form and return to me via email within a week.
  3. UTB would like to remind staff and students to continue to practice good personal hygiene as follows: 
    •  Frequent hand washing with soap and clean water or using hand sanitiser. For hand washing protocols, you may watch this video https://drive.google.com/file/d/1P9qmuXD3eN9q4GLW-PZGLjZr-JvYzc30/view;
    • Practice cough and sneeze etiquette which means cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or use tissue when you cough or sneeze and dispose the used tissue in the closed rubbish bin immediately; 
    • Wear a mask if you have respiratory symptoms such as a cough or runny nose; and
    • If you are unwell or have symptoms of infections or have been potentially exposed to COVID-19, please rest at home and report to BCP Team at bcp@utb.edu.bnor UTB Hotline number +673-8892800. BE RESPONSIBLE to seek immediate medical attention and avoid visiting public places.

As a follow up to the UTB BCP Issue No. 8 on temperature screening at UTB Phase 2 Entrance Lobby, all staff will no longer be required to fill in the log book after the temperature screening. Instead, staff are required to scan the QR code on your UTB ID card using the laptop camera provided. You will be signed in automatically. Your body temperature will no longer be recorded. This new arrangement is effective from Saturday, 28 March 2020. All staff are reminded to bring your UTB ID Card.

Students, contractors and visitors are still required to record their details in the respective logbook. Hand sanitiser is provided for use after handling the pen.

Pursuant to our email dated 28th January 2020 regarding the Coronavirus: General and Health Advisory, we are pleased to attach herewith a copy of Press Information issued by the Ministry of Health Brunei Darussalam informing on the availability of a Health Advice Line for the public.

The purpose of this line is to provide current information and advice with regards to the Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV). The numbers for the Health Advice Line are 2381380 and 2381383, which will be operational from Wednesday, 5 February 2020 / 11 Jamadilakhir 1441.
