CHECKLIST FOR STUDENTS BEFORE DEPARTING BRUNEI
|1.||Pre-Departure Briefing||Carried out by SA, SWO, Counselor|
|2.||Copy of bank account book (1st page) and passport (1st page with details)||Give copy to Finance Clerk, Bursar’s Office|
|3.||AIR TICKETS for Eligible Brunei Government Scholarship holders||Carried out by Academic Clerk, SSC|
1. Must be valid for at least 6 months from departure date
2. Passport pages must be sufficient for visa pages
|5.||* VISA- for eligible students only. Students will have to pay their own and get reimbursed later.||Refer to Diplomatic and Consular countries that require visa|
ORIGINAL MEDICAL EXAMINATION REPORT/RESULT AND X-RAY
Your MEDICATION PRESCRIPTION and MEDICATION (if applicable)
You are advised to carry this in your hand luggage. The copy of the medical examination report should be given to the Registrar’s office for records.
PHY Treatment Card (copy with certification)
|7.||INSURANCE COVERAGE||Students are responsible for the purchase of their personal insurance.|
|8.||RISK ASSESSMENT FORMS (RAF)||Refer to HSE|
|9.||Extra PASSPORT SIZE PHOTOS||Write your names at the back of each photos|
|10.||ORIGINAL OFFER LETTERS both from HOST INSTITUTIONS and UTB||Put into your hand luggage|
|11.||SUFFICIENT Pocket Money||Responsibility of students|
|12.||Baggage weight entitlements (refer your tickets)||Bring items according to your priorities and necessities|
|13.||For those going abroad, please prepare the required copies of documents as follows:|
13.1.1 Passport (which bear your particulars and photo)
13.1.3 Scholarship letter from UTB
13.1.4 Offer letter from host institutions/placement
13.1.5 2 passport size photos
|14.||Confirmation of accommodation from host institutions/placement (if applicable)|
|15.||Other additional items that are necessary but not listed|
ALL students are advised to report to the relevant Brunei High Commission/Embassies upon arrival and departure from the country of study/placement and for any other reasons eg. going for a trip outside the country; going back to Brunei for holiday; or returning back to Brunei upon completion of study/placement.
RETURNING TO BRUNEI DARUSSALAM
Upon completion of programme, all students are to REPORT TO THE REGISTRAR’S OFFICE and RESPECTIVE FACULTY/SCHOOL.
Brunei Government Scholarship holders need to complete and submit the following:
- Application for Extension of Allowance (local)
- Original ticket and Boarding Pass
- Returning students may deliver a presentation to the faculty/school during a sharing session.
